Burns Bog Fire cost over $500,000
According to the Corporation of Delta, efforts to put out the Burns Bog fire in July cost more than $500,000. The Corporation of Delta is applying to the province to recover some of the fire expenses.
The fire broke out on July 3, 2016 on the west side of Burns Bog. Some highways and parts of Tilbury Industrial park were closed to prevent injury.
The fire is not attributed to natural causes.
