Derek Zeisman, Director
Derek has been involved with the Burns Bog Conservation Society since 1988, when he was one of several Seaquam Secondary students who helped in the fight to stop development of the Bog. Raised in North Delta, he now lives in White Rock. He is a senior policy advisor with Global Affairs Canada. Derek holds Bachelor degrees in Journalism and Arts (History) from Carleton University; Master degrees in Public Administration and Industrial Relations from Queen’s University; and Bachelor degrees in Common Law and Civil Law from McGill University. He is a former board member and director of communications with the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO). Derek has also served as a volunteer with the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, Lower Mainland United Way, and BC SPCA.
